Chief pilot hopes to have final approval for CASS by end of next week. Waiting on changes to the Flight Ops manual regarding cockpit jumpseats on Compass flights to be approved by the feds.

#53 on the seniority list is already in YUL for SIT/IPT/SIM training. 54-58 should arrive in YUL on 8-6. One thing I'm not sure about but is worth asking when interviewed is "Will I make CA pay after my type ride?" There seams to be some question about that lately for all the street CA's. They have assured us that it will happen but having worked under J.O.'s iron fist I remain skeptical of mngmt sometimes.
Other than that I heard proving runs should start by the end of the week.

I know that folks through #60 are up in YUL right now in systems training. Started this week.

No- I don't work for compass, but I know quite a few folks that do, both on the flying side and the management side.

Information I post here on the forums (in any thread) is mainly gathered through my network of friends and associates- moastly folks that I know from my time at ACA/Independence or at UND. It's all second hand (but from sources that I trust and try to verify) and solely provided to help folks make decisions about the industry/company/topic at hand.

He speaks the truth! Next question: What will the type rating designator be on my license? Perhaps 175/195? Talked to some friends who drove the 170 at another carrier and their license says 170/190... making them good candidates for B6. Any clue guys?

It will say ERJ 170 ERJ 190 on your type rating. (That's based on what I see on various management pilots via the FAA database that have already received their types).

Yeah that's a thought...or it makes you attractive to CMP if you already have it :D. We have some Jet Blue folks here believe it or not.

Thanks Josh for the info. The contract looks like ACA's old contract. That was pretty good. Sure happy there ALPA!
