Sounds like the classes are starting with the less than 12 per class they want. I just found out that 4 no showed the last class. It's becasue this isn't as good of deal as they make it sound to be during the interview. I was told i would get captain pay from day one by the HR specialist... in reality they paid fo money until i got the type done (approx. 2 months). The difference in cpt pay to fo pay for those 2 months 5500 dollars... ouch! I anticipate they will have a great deal of trouble filling the classes in the future based on pay and contract details. With almost all majors hiring why would someone leave there Regional to come to work on first year pay again? Almost all inexperienced pilots are already going to other players who have much lower or no minimums.

Guys, I got an interview coming up and I don't think I could not afford to seat in the right seat for six months. Any chance they are still hiring for the left seat?
Got about 5000tt 4500 turbine and 1k pic, What were the left seat guys getting hired with anyways? Hey xtreme u know a John Bat**** at Airmidwest? Pm if me you did. |
Well, if NWA is going to be hiring off the street, and you have to wait 30 months to flow through, why would you go to compass? Its going to be sold anyways eventually and then who knows what happens with the flow through.

36 planes 360 pilots, guess 200 will be captains. options for more if NWA gives them to CPS. 83 pilots to date. Some MGT/Training. jusy short one in last class.

I guess everyone knows by now that CMP is not hiring street CA's anymore. With only 2 a/c and 84 pilots on property upgrades will likley run well into spring at this point. I would just be guessing but probably about 5 - 6 months. |
Dubois or Williamsport not sure which one. Whats ur take on the company so far? Training? Qol of life so far? schedules? how long are people sitting for training and IOE? Are any of the people not showing up Ca slots. Thanks

Best of luck for all you guys at Compass. I was offered a job, but like many I will not attend class. The reason is very simple...they will not offer a standby tickets for two trips to MSP; one for my medical, and the other for training. To me, this is a sign of how the company treats its employees. I have been there and done that and don't want to be put in a situation where my livelyhood depends on them. If they treat future employees this way, how will I be treated when I am committed to them?
Does it cost Compass anything to provide a space available pass? If it does, OK...maybe I can understand a little. But if it doesn't cost them anything...come on! Anyway, for those of you who decided to make the move to Compass, congratulations for taking the steps to better your lives...hopefully it will turn out to be a good deal! |
Beechbum... are you saying that they would not space A travel you to training? That they expected you to either drive? ( not a bad option perhaps ) or buy your own airline tickets?

Hi!
Things sound worse and worse at Compass. Brilliant. There is an ever-worsening shortage of pilots, and a new airline decides to make things difficult for new-hires. I haven't heard more on the maximum pay credit of 100 hours per month. Anyone??? cliff ILN |
I just got called for an interview, is compass hiring Captains anymore? Thanks
