I talked to our captain in Jail and he said he heard from his cellmate that this deal has happened and to be announced soon.

Thats the rumour but we all now how rumours are, what are your thoughts on if it is true though, you are now looking at an airline with 49 saabs, 17 200's, 36 900's and 36 175's = 138 planes

hmm, can you say sell off? It wont be to republic either becuase they are already too big. I say they just sell them back to MAir Holdings.

I think the 4 regionals left in the DCI are going to be 4 holding companies. Republic, Mesaba/Compass, Pinnacle Corp., and SkyWest Inc.

Those 4 holding companies will buy the remaining regionals out there (comair) and control who flies what.

Either that or most pilots and jumpseaters are full of $hit. Usually, rumors are just someone's wish list.

Actually the truth is we are both under the Mesaba Compass Holdings, Inc.

So...no more rumor.

Don't know about the rest of you but I find rumors that I hear in jail generally come true.:p

The whole Mesaba Compass rumor is getting old. I find it hilarious that someone said they are going to "sell off" mesaba and compass to somoene. That is like me trying to sell my gas guzzling SUV to a group of homeless people. WONT HAPPEN!! No one will buy them right now, not even if they were free.

So here are the real facts, you heard it here first: Mesaba and Compass are going to put their differences aside first. They might start talking to each other. They will probably consider that the other exsits- and vice versa, and possibly agree that each has their own right to occupy the same building, and breathe the same air without starting terrible rumors about each other.

Once that is settled (and sit down for this one), Mesaba and Compass are going to combine their operating certificates and burn them together in the same fire to keep 2 or 3 homeless people warm in Minneapolis over the cold winter. That way, we all feel like we have contributed to some kind of good cause.

The secret is out. I can hear it echoing from the jumpseats already.

Or you could get a life. Rumors are not true.

Not sure what differences you are talking about?!? I dont know anyone at mesaba that has a problem with Compass and vice versa. In fact I cant recall a time when anyone at XJ said anything about Compass other than how nice it would be to fly the Ejet. So I guess I am confused as to what you are referring to.
