I just tried to update my application on the Compass web site and kept getting an error. Turns out they removed the Pilot position on the jobs available page. I guess they are not hiring then...

Job is "no longer available". However, I got an "approval to review" on the training scheduler post.
Anyone knows how much this pays, and the "schedule"?:o

Thats crazy, For the FUN of it, I just filled out an app (was submitted and approved EARLY on the 10th), they must have just taken it down! Maybe the open date expired and they have to repost it, I would check back often because I too have seen an add for them hiring just this past week...

**edited for horrible spelling**

Per a Chief Pilot's weekly email last week, Compass was not hiring, but looking to collect resumes for any future hiring needs.

As of a month ago Compass is hiring for "pool status."

FYI for those looking at Compass. The general status is we are drastically understaffed!!! Management disagrees...but I will tell you that the crews all working 90+ hours scheduled a month with 11-12 days off and critical captain trips daily all will agree with me!

Currently we have I believe 12 finishing training, and then 6 upgrades to occur soon. As for anything else...nothing has been said.

I think it will be a great wake up call to management when crews start refusing the good old junior man via acars. REMEBER: FATIGUE!!! THEN THEY CANT TOUCH YOU!!!

If captains would stop picking up critical trips, it might force the the brainless wonders in DC to figure out that the Independence air staffing model works as well here as it did at Indy

what sort of hours are they "really" looking for...
I have 2,900tt 1,100ME and 400 turbine PIC but i won't turn 23 till July. Should i apply and would they hire me?

You have to meet all of the eligibility requirements for an ATP. You should apply if you want to though but must get an ATP in initial training. I don't know if they would hire you a month or two in advance so that you would be turning 23 just before your checkride.
