Being that nothing is loaded out for sale for that flying yet, this discussion is all moot. Once you see something selling on aa.com, that's when you have enough information to speculate. Plenty of time for AA to change strategy before we take delivery. Just look at the shift of CPZ in the DL system over time.

UPTme: We (actual CPZ pilots) have done an excellent job of keeping less snark and attitude in this thread than those you will see for other carriers in the regional forum. Appreciate it if we could keep it that way.

I would think that you will be on reserve in LAX for about 2-3 months, considering that I don't believe there will be any new hires in August. After that, if MSP stays the size that it is right now, I would guess that you could get MSP-based effective sometime around January or Feb. Considering all the hiring that will be taking place between September and that time, you probably won't have to spend more than 4-5 months total in LAX. That is just a guess though.

As for the AA CPZ base, MW did say LAX, but who knows really? That might be what MW heard is most likely, but I'm not sure that the final decision has even been made yet.

Thanks Typical41... Interesting screen name.. ; ) now that LAX has been announced for AA flying my time well spent at LAX might be longer than we thought. Anybody up for going in on a condo? I think we're going to be there for a while.

No, "dude", I don't think they have.

I actually think they only found out in the past couple weeks.

Training Day 1

After your first day of training, you are in CASS and can jumpseat home. Is your pass travel also registered in Delta Net? Or is there a waiting period for you, parents, wife, and kids?
Thanks!

You get put in CASS on your first day assuming your previous carrier has taken you out (you cannot be in CASS for two different airlines at the same time). You will get pass travel on your first day as long as you pay the $50 activation fee.

Thanks! And will your family be added on day 1 too?

Yes. You will be required to provide supporting documents for your domestic partner later.

Maybe it has changed but this wasn't the case a year ago, you had to provide holdings with documentation that your parents were indeed your parents via a birth certificate. It took about 3-7 days for it to go through and show up on dlnet
