I bet more like 1 in 10. and the new hires are going to heaven unless we start getting better looking flight attendants.

1 in 11. The new hires are going to the restroom during hourly breaks in ground school training.

ok ill be the first.

The last class had all 3 bases awarded.

The latest rumor is LGA will be opening in June and MEM closing.

I keep hearing this from the pilots. Obviously rumors in the airlines are like the telephone game in 5th grade, but the guys I talk to and even people on the management side have said "I can't see them NOT opening an East Coast base" with the new utilization plan. I hope that's true.

Any idea what this utilization plan includes? Will Compass be running Shuttle routes, etc.?

I don't know. I just have the standard 1.5hrs more a day blurb that comes from HR. I've heard it could be more shuttle routes. Who knows.?

i was in monterrey mexico last week. as i was taxiing out to take off, i saw a compass 175 landing. where does that flight originate from? that would be an awefully long flight from minne.

Just flew with a LCA and all rumors I'm hearing from him and elsewhere are that the east coast flying is back on. Supposedly the east coast stuff was off the table a short time. I also keep hearing that the last thing management wants to do is open a LGA crew base, even if we get a significant amount of flying out there. It seems like this everlasting rumor of MEM closing is like the mythical unicorn, we just keep hearing about, but I have a feeling its never going to happen.
