From friends that have interviewed in ATL, Compass has a pretty good reputation down there...hopefully it stays that way.

Back in the days of the flow, that wasn’t the case. It’s the reason Delta will never have flow ever again under the current management running the show in flight ops. Thankfully that has changed and now yes, it does seem DL likes to take Compass pilots. Gotta be that UNIONIZED, 175 widebody time. (Sorry OO)
Not to paint them all with the same brush, but even just culturally, a very different group that had many 10000 hr+ multiple defunct airline older guys. Yeah, some of those aren't going to mesh with the widget so well and then putting them into the mad dog, well training can be an issue. Airlines have known for awhile that past a certain number of flight hours and age, people get harder and harder to train. There's some sort of dog adage about it.. |

Take a look at the kind of pilots that flowed versus our pilot group now, and it's a STARK STARK 180 degree difference/contrast.

This is all very true. From what I've heard at Southern Jets HQ, there was a lot of entitlement of guys flowing to DL. A lot struggled in training because of what you said but also an inherent laziness of simply flowing without necessarily earning an actual DL job (see guy flipping off sim instructor during initial). Unfortunately this let in a few bad apples who ruined it for everyone else. This is also a concern for the AA flows. I feel there are going to be an alarming number of people that shouldn't be anywhere near a mainline cockpit. That being said, I am sure the majority of the flows were great dudes. Sadly it just takes a few to ruin it (talking about you mainline FA jumpseat privileges).

Looks like a new email/list from JS on this...hopefully your included now. I think it was always looked at as a date of interview and not class date, that's it...which is unfortunate.
In all reality I'm pretty sure like others have mentioned the DPI means nothing other than a warm fuzzy feeling for those who have it next to there names. I'm guessing anyone that's DPI eligible and had an application in within the last year at Delta has already been looked at and scored.
