Tax Related question:
So I live in GA and obviously paid my federal and state taxes, however I have a $274 "local withholding tax" SDI or whatever on my W-2. Apparently this is for CA short term disability as I am based in LAX. My question is do I have to fly a CA state tax return for this? Payroll had no clue.

I filed both OK and CA. Pretty much an even wash. I got back from ok enough to cover CA. Just more paper work

I'll swim upstream against about the last 10 or so if there's a long gap (say when there's a wait for someone needing a wheelchair who hasn't been healed by jetway Jesus), so I specifically avoid that situation. Works every time except for once when I was at the bottom of the jet bridge and the captain decides to shoot the breeze with me while waiting for his FAs to pack up. I can tell the APU is off, but I figured the ground power was on (no big deal in my book either way). Set foot on the plane for our quick 30 minute outstation turn when the inbound was late to find out that it was completely cold and dark. Many choice words found their way onto that CVR...
Another time had a captain tell me at the top of the jet bridge "I turned the airplane completely off because I couldn't use the ground power because the fuel truck was connected." That one made me shake my head...
