That's pretty unacceptable. I hope things get better, our new hires deserve better.

A shout out to new guys and gals I've flown with recently, very good pilots with good attitudes from all backgrounds. Good job to our recruiters too.

**I just ask that you don't land better than me on day 1, is that too much to ask??? It will continue to be a debrief item

Unfortunately I was paired with that guy, and ended up waiting 2.5 months for him to catch up. Scheduling didn't help.

Hopefully, we'll both finish up this week and move on to IOE.

I don't catch your meaning. Your training was held up waiting for another trainee?? Or are you talking about waiting to get on a training CA's schedule for IOE? or what?

I'm planning to apply at Compass and training timelines are a bit of a concern. Well, class start dates after interview anyway. Assuming I get the job...:)

It happens, you're paired with a partner and sometimes they need extra time so they'll delay both of you since the training dept doesn't want or have enough seat supports for you to go on solo with. Unfortunately we've always had an issue of not being efficient on the training schedule side so, without being disrespectful, a slower than normal partner could push your training schedule back significantly. It doesn't help that we only have 1 sim in MSP for LOEs.

Ya'll got way better jokes than the Envoy threads. Except for maybe that 'Hardlemonade' guy over at Envoy. He's next level shock jock but hilarious.

Anyway, I've been reading you guys for the last year and I'm going to apply just because your forum is better.

Ok seriously, I've recently decided that the commute I would endure for Envoy might not be worth it. On the other hand I can commute directly from the regional airport(SGU) where I live to PHX or LAX. So finally getting to the point....
I would like to know your thoughts on same-day-commutable-trips with Compass if I arrive in LAX at (earliest) 0650 or PHX at 0745. Is there any such thing or would I always have to come in the night before?

(yes I'm aware that Compass may have a bit of a dumpster fire going on right now my other options are gojet(same alley, different dumptser fire) or a two leg commute for envoy *yuck*)

I get commutable trips on the front and back some months and that's from the east coast. It's certainly doable.

Yup, but from day 1 of class you have full CASS, enjoy that paid travel around the world time [emoji106]

It sucks that we don't have anything, but F9 ain't something to write home about unless they can get up to industry standard anything.

Is F9 where you wanna go anyway? Really means nothing unless they have an attractive contract anyway.
But at least they have a COO who actually done stuff, not the one like us limping through his sunset garbage career.
