Nope, not on the 200. And not in New York either. And it makes no difference to me where the engines are mounted. I'd fly a 172 if it paid me enough. Are you really that narrow minded?

To add fuel to this fire, I was just hired a few days ago and the first available class date isn't until the end of March. Still one day of orientation, but followed by 30-days of home study now instead of the 14 days in the past - for anybody wondering. With all this talk of rainbows and unicorn farts, I can't wait to start training!
No seriously, can't wait - I've got to find something to do for the next 4 months.

They changed from 30 to 14 days of at home study just two years ago. I was the first class to have two weeks. So just going way back to the past, though I'll admit kind of sucks sitting around for a whole month and only getting paid 30 or something hours.

Congrats, welcome aboard!! IMHO two weeks was pretty tight to do all the CBT's, I used every bit of that! But everybody's situation is different. I think 3 would be ideal, but whatever, enjoy the time at home! Save up if you can because you don't get paid much during that, it was 18.5 hours for the 2 weeks, not sure if it will be double that or what.
As for the class, no idea how the 6 planes thing will affect it but don't be surprised if you get brought back earlier. 2 of the guys in my class originally had a class 2 months later and were called in, and 3 people I know who were hired this month got March and April dates then got called back for Jan. Again, no idea how that will change but just be prepared if you do want to start ealier. One of my friends was called yesterday for an earlier class (after the plane announcement) so there ya go for what its worth.

And as for our performance, yep those 170s were hurting it also the LAX ops are as well. If you look at the planes we fly for AA, it's night and day compared to Delta. If you can explain how that happens, please let me know.

The AA birds are considerably newer than the DL birds so I'm sure that plays a fairly large part in it,not as many gate issues in the Eagles Nest either.

Exactly. It's the LAX operation on the DL side that hurts us. Even mainline struggles in LAX with on time performance. It's just one big cluster ****.
