Since this Envoy fanboy is still posting in here.... If it goes to the cheapest bidder, that won't be Envoy. So make up your mind is it going in house where they're throwing bonuses around or is it going to the cheapest bidder. News flash, we're lower cost to AA than Envoy. So although Mesa is cheap AF, their performance is crap, even Uncle Doug (Doug Parker) sees the value in not giving all of the flying Compass is doing to Mesa.

If it all went back in house there would be no way to tell you that Mesa or Compass are doing it cheaper the next time your contract is up for renegotiation. Uncle Doug ain't stupid.

AA only cares how cheap you do the flying. What I hear from good sources is that AA doesn't want Lax base for us but that they want to bring those 20 E175 back to the house, I don't want anybody losing their jobs so don't take it that way.Now let's see what happens around 2019/2020. I apologize for the misunderstanding and if I offended anyone
Did you ever think maybe he was just telling you what you want to hear?
Do you think he is going to tell the pilot group, " hey, you guys are over paid, and you are not getting those planes back because I'm going to find someone who will fly them cheaper"

You have not been in this biz too long if you believe everything your CEO tells you.

Back to more serious stuff...

What is the source of this HAL flow rumor?
The guy that started it has not answered that question.

I propose a new rule
If you post a rumor , you need to list your source.

Is this the serious stuff you mentioned you wanted to get back to?
The source was his a$$, which he is probably laughing off right now at all of the people that keep bringing this up. You don't need sources, you just need to think critically.

I have some news for you son. If an airline managers lips are moving, they're lying and that you can take as gospel.

I don't reveal my sources. I'll just say I'm not the only one who's heard it and I highly respect who I heard it from. Nothing is official until someone of importance says it.

We all know logic and critical thinking don't go hand in hand with airline exec decision making.
