I call BS on the company being "picky" on who they hire! At this day n age in the 121 world, no regional can be "picky" as to who they hire. Hell, even the all mighty mainline skywest pilots hire damn near everyone that walks through their doors. If cpz wants to keep up with attrition then I think they have no choice but to lower standards and hire who they can get. Otherwise management is setting us all up to fail

It's hard to believe the western US pilot applicant pool is so small that we can't find who "we" want. Either we can't get people all together or the "qualified" applicants may be going to other airlines (aka Skywest). We might just be getting the rejects that can't find a job anywhere else and management isn't ready to take them in either.

Reliability doesn't mean anything (you aren't though really). XJT was extremely reliable. You are a staffing company. If you can't staff, you lose planes.

Heard about 40 crews in size. not sure if that means 20 ca 20 FO or 40 CA 40 FO, but either way... small base.
