A. Wearing of the uniform will be limited to when on duty, when on special assignment or when in transit to or from duty.
B. PICs and SICs will only wear a complete uniform as described below. Other items are not authorized.
D. Uniform combinations or variations other than those stipulated below are not authorized.
6-16-6
Hat
A. Compass Airlines hat emblem and hardware as sold by the designated Company uniform supplier will be worn when the pilot is in public outside the aircraft.
It’s crystal clear in the FOM. Either you’re in compliance or you’re knowingly breaking FOM.

Fun fact: there is no requirement to wear the uniform on a DH. If it's your last leg back to base or whatever, go change!

There is no requirement to wear a uniform at all based on the language used in the FOM. Only if you choose to wear one during those specific times it must be complete.

I guess technically, there is no requirement to be in clothes at all. Anybody could do it at least once!

Compass Airlines: we fly the friendly skies without any pants on, so you don't have to.

I’m closing on a house next week, and need two days off to do it. Didn’t get days off in the bid, crew scheduling told me to pound sand, and chief pilots are ignoring my emails. If I just call the day of and say I’m unable to work, will I be subject to any disciplinary action? Still on probation.

That would basically be a sick call. Did you e-mail trip trades? [email protected] and request to swap them with another date. If they say no, e-mail the same request every 24hrs because the grids change.

Or email your base chief and CC the system Chief. I have had to request days off for personal life issues before and emailed them. It took them a day or two to get back to me but they gave me the days I needed.
Best of luck

I feel for you. Been putting off upgrade for my closing next month. Figured that would happen.
