Having trouble figuring out what the contract says for recovery, as this is my first experience dealing with it. I was assigned a four day trip for a line that got totally redone. Due to the reschedule they gave me the last day off from what was originally posted. The contract seems to say that I need to be available from 0700-1500 any recovery days, and can be assigned flying that gets me back up to 6 hours past my originally scheduled time. Am I reading that correctly before I go grab my beer? Thanks.

that seems to be correct from my experience. they do have to notify you a day prior if they are going to use you. basically it is like being on long call.

Cents? Like a dime or quarter? A penny would make more sense.

They entirely omitted 6 month and line check schedules from the bid package.

I disagree but you do you. Trust me, after talking to him, with his sense of entitlement he won’t be at mainline until all the regionals fail. He told the gate agent to get me and told me I need to check my books again because they told us in class we can have any FA JS on Delta painted airplanes. FNG. I was simply trying to educate future pilots since we have Skywest people on this forum that what they told you in class is incorrect.
To me that's not a knowledge issue, it's an attitude issue. If that were me, I would simply check his badge and say "Mr. [name], with that attitude you are not welcome in my jump seat." Then I would let his jump seat committee do the education.

Yes, you still need to bid. They will remove the trips a week or so before your upgrade class date. The reason they do it this way is people have been known to postpone their class. If you don't bid and have to postpone for some reason, you'll get what's left over or worse, be stuck on reserve.

Mabye you are getting the "late grace month"?

This has to be a common issue. What gives?
Unfortunately, these hAAte agents are country wide. They are not doing this to just Compass, but Republic as well and likely all of the AAC carriers. USAir stations seem to be better with treating the AAC carriers with respect and honoring their flight privileges.

Unfortunately unless an AAC vs AA jumpseat war breaks out and AA pilot's start standing up for the non wholly owned pilot's who support their carrier and support their profitability, it's likely never going to change.
