Still Grounded: No worries and your point is taken. For me, if SWA says no this time then I'll reapply in a year. If they say no twice, then I'll start thinking about other options and how to answer any questions about the type.

Slice-Congrats w/ UPS. I've got two buds flying for them and they dig it big time. Both originally passed over by SWA with type...hmmm, hope I'm not jinxing myself.

OK - I give. What's LAMA or LAM?

LAFF-Thanks.

I was passed over by SWA as well...perhaps a trend item developing?
LAMA= Life After Mesa Airlines, the fraternity for those that have escaped the clutches of Jonny O and his henchmen for greener pastures.

Arrrgh! I already knocked on wood for that - hopefully that was enough to keep the bad mojo gremlins at bay. If it doesn't work out perhaps I'll see what Brown can do for me.

Ah yes, now I can feel your pain. Fortunately I never worked for them, but they are the only airline to lose my bag twice on one trip...going and coming to ROW.

Nortonious,

I'm looking into HPA for a 737 type using my Mil. benefits. I saw you posted you used your GIBILL, was the 7K what you paid after the 60%? I really want to use 9K I have avail for this once in a lifetime certification money the Gov gives you while your on AD. I brought up the idea briefly to my base ED office , they said they probably won't cover it but I showed them a Boeing-Alteon AD for 737 types and she said they just wouldn't pay it directly to Boeing. Iono since HPA is GIBILL approved then maybe they'll let me use the
9K for the type. Thanks, Later
