My company does 7/7, Sunday-Saturday. That being said depending on your primary pax that week you may be working the full week, Tuesday-Thursday or anywhere in between. Sundays and commuting to the plane and moving it if it needs moved for that weeks primary, Saturday can be a half day of flying and then going home but 75% of the time we're done Friday, and if we fly Saturday it's rarely more than one leg. Really depends on your primary as to how hard you're gonna work.

It's an unusual operation for corporate but the schedule is great and it helps retain talent. We will see what the future holds though and who stays and who gets lured to the airlines.

Thanks for all of the feedback... so far the schedule goes into operation this month (September 1). 14/7 with. mid week transition from on/off. I don't thinks its mathematically possible to do a 7/7 with 3 pilots. Luckily, we only fly 5% 135 and the rest are 91 owner flights with long sits on the ground. (4-5 days - as ex airline myself this is long to be in one place). So we just airline home in-between. been working for this owner since APR and its been the best Corp gig I've had so far before/after my 121 experience. Above industry pay/benefits for PIC aircraft type and carte blanche expense account within reason, but so far, steak/lobster and 5 star hotels and rental cars seem to be the norm. No complaints here!

So far, Im on call this week but have next week off and the only scheduled trip falls on next week so in reality, looks like I'll have 14days off in a row!

If you guys can keep that up, that's gonna continue to be a great job. Congrats.

How are you going to schedule around vacations and training? What happens if someone calls in sick during their week on duty?

If the boss is OK with you guys using a contract guy to fill in for people on their days off (i.e. not vacation time) that is pretty sweet.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you stumble across this gig? i.e. Considering for my own retirement here. Because it might be kind off fun since lacking much corporate flying prior to my part 121, nearly 27 yrs. career as a wide body B767 Capt. Thanks much for informing here or PM me.

What does your flight dept. do when one OR both of you go down sick or a possible injury occurs? Is a contracted pilot used? Do they just take an airliner?
