And in what universe does an employee have a property right to an employer’s work? If you’re such a libertarian, you’d know the answer.

I meant to those he provides for, maybe he doesn’t provide for anyone, ok cool. He has the choice not to take the shot, but he’s most likely not gonna be employed at a top tier employer, that to me is just idiocracy at its best. But yep he has a choice.

Amazingly brave in my opinion. Selfishness has nothing to do with it. You might try and have a dialogue with one of these unclean people to understand their motivations. Some of the most selfless people I have ever come across.

At this point I think we can just say we agree to disagree.

Seems like the airlines are attempting 100% compliance.

I’m going to accept the termination or whatever comes my way.

might need work soon!
With all due respect, which I almost always would have for a contentious objector, I just cant fathom that you would quit a job as a Boeing Captain over a vaccine requirement. I understand that passions are high and we all need to stand up for our beliefs, but to give up a job like this in a society where everything is mandated? You're going to fall on your sword over this ONE thing when the government already mandates that you: Register your car and pay taxes, register yourself and be licensed to drive. Pay federal and state taxes. Educate your kids, dont steal (etc etc on all of the laws). Hell the government even mandates that you go have a doctors exam every 6 months! Thats a serious infringement on liberty. I could go on and on. Without getting political, I wonder if this one mandate is becoming such a rallying cry simply because its coming from a Democrat in the White House in a time of unprecedented national political division.

I knew of a guy (disclaimer: details maybe not exact) years ago who was a sim instructor making upward of 250k. He was anti government and anti tax. He evaded paying taxes for years until Uncle Sam caught up with him. Rather than paying back taxes and settling, he fled during his court proceedings and was on the lam for several years. He was eventually caught and was living in someones basement working incognito in the service industry. Spent some time in jail and doesnt have a pot to **** in. I just dont get that.

Living well is the best defense. The vaccines may or may not be incredibly effective but the dangers are minuscule compared to Covid. I know of no one who has even had a serious complication. I know of a half dozen people who either died or almost died from Covid. I'd seriously consider this decision. You have 13 years left to make buttloads of money and retire a millionaire. Or you can throw it all away over the latest in a lifetime worth of mandates that you have been, and will continue to live under for the rest of your life. Seems like a rethink is seriously in order to me...

Good luck either way.

Money is obviously your idol at all costs. Not all are willing to take the risks involved for money.

Not remotely, read the whole post. Just not personally willing to throw away all I've worked for, over the latest in a lifetime worth of mandates. I guess I'm just not worried about all of those things that you cite that we should be afraid of. If he is and is willing to give it all up, well I wish him luck. Its good to have principles...

It’s really just come to the point of not worth arguing over, or trying to change their minds. They have made their self induced red line in the sand, good luck to them, just don’t come crying to me when you are broke.
