I have been flying a 7 for 9 years. We have never had a parts issue. It is a great handling aircraft. In all the time we have been flying it I can only think of 1 time we had a small problem on TO and had to taxi back to the hanger and take our 10.

Thanks to all who responded
All:
Thanks for all the help and I will point my friend in the direction of Westair aviation for prebuy info.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and a great holidays!
If you have questions on Big Purple, please don't hesitate to send me a PM for info and help. We aren't hiring now...but that could change and we tend to be feast or famine on our hiring...
Again thanks for the info and help.

I've flown both III's & VII's both are great airplanes, they are expensive to operate. Even a bad pre-buy would be better than no pre-buy! The bigger the plane the bigger the repair bill. I can say we never had any parts issues and as far as dispatch, well I can only remember maybe three trips that were cancelled due to maintenance. That was in a three and a half year period. Good luck!
