Default finding Contract work

Anyone out here got experience in finding contract work?

I've got some 400 hours in the CE750, and 1700 hrs in the CE560 and a recurrent back in Nov, but have no idea where to start. Is it a tight network of who you know? or is there an easier way than to just cold call all of the operators in the area?

As a newbie to this contract stuff i tried for some advice, and ended up been told that i was whinning --before i offer any "suggestions" let me say that on this site there are some seriously "stressed out hyper" individuals lol,
(1) you need to sell yourself i.e. get your resume listed on as many sites as you can afford, like -climbto350, -pilots4rent(susanne anderson)-flight crews unlimited,-corporate jets-avcrews, etc, with the kind of hrs you have jobs will become available, THE most important thing is to get a "foot in the door" and trust me that is not so easy. at first if you get6-8 days work a month you`ll be doing good, and as m.s. Anderson says DO NOT accept jobs for little or no pay as it makes things harder for everybody,

Sort of a related question (if you don't mind). What
career path did you take to end up flying the CE750 ?

That's one sweeeeet machine.

Does the lack of auto throttles make you feel like
you're doing more work ?

Dude, God Bless you man... This thread is a old.. I've long since given up on contract on the X, and am now moved onto 121 cargo.. the only 10 I'll be flying is the DC verity, or maybe an MD-11..
