Default Sic 61.55

Hey Guys, I just recently completed the requirements to be a legal SIC under part 61.55 and I was just wondering where it should be documented (only noted in remarks of logbook entry or is it needed to be documented in the back as an endorsement).

I don't know anything about the Citation, but wouldn't you get an SIC type rating on your pilot certificate?

An endorsement in the back of your logbook showing you received the training required per 61.55(b) should be sufficient, assuming you operate domestically. That said, you can easily obtain an SIC Type Rating on your certificate by filling out an 8710 and taking your logbook with an endorsement pulled from 61.55(B)(2)(c) to your local FSDO.

Since you have completed the requirements, Take your logbook, that should have the requirements signed off, and your logbook endorsement from the trainer along with your 8710 to your nearest FSDO and they will reissue your certificate with the SIC added on.

I'm not looking for the actual "type rating". Im just operating domestically part 91 and right now just looking to log turbine time, therefore with the sign off from an instructor I should be fine without having to go through the FSDO right?

Why not?
Note: There is no practical test required for the issuance of the ‘‘SIC Privileges Only’’ pilot type rating.
If you've completed the training required by 61.55, type the 8710 and take it, with your endorsement to the FSDO.

An endorsement in your logbook showing you've met the requirements of 61.55(b) in CE-500 series airplanes is sufficient.

So I don't need to deal with the FSDO then?

Nope.

You only need to go to FSDO if you want to get an SIC Type Rating for the CE-500 on your pilot certificate. Given how easy it is (simply complete an 8710 and take your logbook with endorsement in) I don't see why somebody with only a 61.55 logbook endorsement WOULDN'T do it...but to each their own.
