Default B200 Crash a week or so ago

Anyone have any more info on the KA 200 crash in Hayward, CA on 9/16 more than in the NTSB prelim?

I know it was N726CB and saw the pics and video.

Any new info?

I think the video was on the local news when it happened.

There seems to be a discrepency in the report posted:

Should the bolded parts match?

This is very sad to hear.

If I remember correctly, the pilot (only SOB) got out with minor injuries and reported that right after takeoff the aircraft started yawing to the left with no sign of power loss.

I think it's broken down like this:
#
Crew: 1 <-- Total Crew
Fat: 0
Ser: 0
Min: 0
Unk: <-- Aliens at Roswell? I guess they use this if the status is unknown, like a missing aircraft.

Got it!
Although if the pilot had MINOR injuries it should still be listed here:

# Crew: 1 Fat: 0 Ser: 0 Min: 0 Unk:

But in the end - - good news for the pilot - bad for the airplane!

Thanks for the info and explanation.

There is some wild video out there from a CCTV security camera on the building that the plane hit, it is wild and after viewing it, its quite an impact, its easy to see how lucky this pilot was.The camera partially captures it, worth a look.

A quick review of NTSB 830 definitions and I think any injury that isn't serious is minor. I guess they didn't actually document any injury. Great news considering the videos I've seen.

Thanks for the link TPRPO.
I must really be caught up on the semantics again!
Reading the description from the first post:
AIRCRAFT ON TAKEOFF, WENT OFF THE RUNWAY, STRUCK A BUILDING AND CAUGHT FIRE, HAYWARD, CA
I thought that would have meant something along the way of an aborted takeoff and/or loss of directional control during the takeoff roll. Here I am watching the video, waiting for the airplane to come careening into the building across the field and instead I have to watch it a few times to realize that it crashed from above.
In MOST cases - when aircraft actually lifts off during takeoff they have "[went] off the runway"
Well...that crash was even worse than I imagined. again - a torn trouser leg is not as bad as it could have been!

I was at Hayward the week this happened. You could see the scorch marks on the side of the building the plane hit, and they left the remains of the airplane sit there for a few days. Some other pilots said the pilot of the plane was walking around the FBO about an hour after the crash with a huge rip in his jeans and a burnt hand holding a bag of ice, and acting like what just happened was no big deal. I heard he was the owner/operator.
