You should probably post Chief Pilot salary info too; that would be much more realistic IMO than AvDeptMgr compensation in a small, startup, single light jet department.

I think $35,000 is reasonable.

All these companies asking for current and qualified as to reduce training cost are in for a rude awakening. They will be be loosing crews to others willing to pay more, those with better quality of life work, and benefits. Or pay more money to their current crews to keep them. Supply and demand. For all unemployed long term, and lost currency on all aircraft, there is hope. Movement has begun....

I can't wait for this to end. It is unrealistic to think that there are typed, current and qualified pilots waiting around to come work for some low-baller. They just want other flight departments to train their pilots. The other side of the sword is that they want pilots to pay for their own $10,000+ type rating and then work for peanuts.

I saw an ad on findapilot today looking for a Phenom 100 "copilot" to assist an owner-operator and "must be able to leave with little notice and be away for several days per trip" for $300/day.
In other words, this has to be your full-time job at (low) part-time pay. And oh yeah, you won't be logging PIC (I doubt you could even log SIC legally), must have minimum 1,500 hours turbojet experience + upset recovery training or military fighter jet. But don't worry: we're "willing to discuss assisting with ratings for credits towards flight days".

It wont ever end, low ball operations will always exist....they still did a few years back when it was boom times....and those times will likely never come back.

Like any field, just avoid the rat$hit jobs.
