Challenger 300 or Falcon 2000
I have a client that can't decide against a gently used Falcon 2000 or Callenger 300. I have flown the 604 and found it was a nice machine, but a little spendier(compared to 2000) to operate and a little touchy on crosswinds. Also his flights will mostly be domestic, so range is not an issue. Just wondering if anyone has flown both the 2000 and cl300. Customer service, dispatch reliability, as well as does the cl300 do as advertised. thanks for your input

Operated the 2000 classic for approx 6 years and replaced it with 2000Easy's. Our disptach rate was 99% at least - always worked. We operated mostly domestic out of 5000'. Only had very good things to say about Dassault and only 1 instance of engine spare issues. Can't compare it to the CL300 since I have no experience but I would recommend a test drive of the Falcon.

I'd recommend the Falcon. I know a couple of guys who fly the 300 and they both say they've had more than their share of maintenance problems. Recently they had to scrub an international trip because of a FADEC problem with their brand new 300. That's gotta pi$$ the boss off...

I have flown Bombardier and Dassault products for the last 10 years and have nothing but good support from both.
Both have also been very reliable, only bugs seemed to be on newer models such as the GLEX (a while back) and the 7X (last few years)...but new models are a headache anywhere. I have never experienced the "a friend of my moms cousins brother always complains about Bombardiers support" I find they make a solid airplane and support it just fine.
I don't think you can go wrong with either a DA2000 or a CL300. Both have had most bugs shaken out at this point.
I'd spend more time being sure you have a good, experienced on type, technician hired for either one and let him be involved in the purchase. Buying a needy airplane can be a nightmare. Having a great, proactive mechanic is critical IMO.

If acquisition cost is not an issue then I would certainly go with the 2000 but beware, if your buying an older "classic" you MUST be very cautious during pre-buy or you could very likely break the bank in mx costs.
