Default My first jet: Challenger 300

So in a couple of weeks I start ground school for my first jet: a Challenger 300. I would appreciate any suggestions regarding prep work before showing up, any success stories from pilots, etc......

What's the collective wisdom?

Thanks!

If you get your books before ground school, learn the memory items and limitations before you ever start. The Challenger line is a good line of proven aircraft, and the 300 looks like a lot of fun to fly. If you've done part 142 or type rating training before, it really isn't that different from any other event that you've done.

Spend the time in the books and learn the procedures/profiles. Remember- at the end of the day, jets don't fly that much faster on approach or in the terminal environment that other turboprops (or even some pistons), and that's the majority of where you'll spend the time in the sim.

keep it slow in the sim. Stay around 200 kts. no need to go fast during training.
