In perpetration for going to ground school I want to know as much ahead of time as possible. I came across a website earlier today that my friend was using. It seems to have the AFM's to almost all aircraft. Looking to find out if anyone else has used this website before and how credible this information is.

Go under the aircraft tab at the top and it brings you to a page where you have acces to a bunch of free aircraft manuals.

Are there any negatives to learning the information here as opposed to at ground school? Trying to avoid putting bad information into my brain so I don't have to relearn something. Thanks

Without sounding condescending, your question is somewhat vague. Since this is under "corporate" one can only assume that you're flying in the corporate world.

If you have a bid on a specific piece of equipment, I'm sure you can get the Limitations, Emergency Procedures and QRC items to pre-study. As a former instructor, I can tell you that students who came to initial ground school with those items pretty well mastered, were way ahead of the game. What are you planning to study with the AFM for a specific aircraft ? I think your approach is wrong based on what you've written.

It also wouldn't hurt you to have a spell check software package. Without knowing you, opinions are formed based on your written words and misspelled words give a somewhat unfavorable impression.

Not saying this the OP's intent, but the style of the email (vague, spelling errors, etc) can be a 'carrot' to drive web site visits, and thus revenue for that site.

Grammar is do to an auto correct feature because i am using an iPad. It often switches my words and I don't really go back to re-read my own posts before publishing. Sorry if that upsets you but I think I mainly got my point across.

1. Does this site produce credible information?

2. If I wanted to study in advanced the POH for an aircraft, does it make any sense to read the whole thing?

A. If not, what would you recommend I do read for my best chance at success in ground school?

3. Are there any cons to using the information given on this site?

I'm not necessarily looking at corporate nor do i have any kind of plan/"approach" to studying any aircraft. This is just a general question for future reference in the event that I do figure out I am going to be flying one of the aircraft listed on this site. I mainly posted here because this topic area seems to ask the most questions about systems. Anyway, thanks for the response.
