Question Part 91 Global 5000 Insurance

Hello all!

Any idea to how much it costs to insure the Global 5000? I understand it depends on many thing like pilot qualifications and TT... Just curious to what's the most one could expect to pay and the least. The one in question is a 2009 with about 2k hours. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks

Depends on many things like Aircraft Liability Coverage, Hull Value, Deductible etc. Higher liability limits will result in about 3X the premium so the number you receive will probably be completely random.

Yeah...you might call a broker or three to get a ballpark, because I would guess its all over the map depending on how much liability one carries. And I'd expect anybody flying a large cabin bizjet to have a lot of liability coverage.

Something tells me he's asking for more than curiousity or to impress a girl at a bar. I'd call around to a few vendors-- maybe someone on here can give a ballpark price in similar equipment as well

It's a little more than just curiosity. Sorry, I can't give much detail as there is currently a gag order on my situation. But yes, a ballpark estimate is all I'm looking for. For financial estimates and planning.

Our 850, now 2 years old with 140hours, is $24k per year for world wide coverage.

It's been a good 2 years.

Wow. Please share your broker as that sounds insanely low. Not doubting you, it just sounds like a too good to be true price to insure an aircraft of that value.

Could you share some info about your coverage?

Willis

The coverage is what ever the lender specified... not sure about the terms.

I thought that was on a annual report, but could have been quaterly.
