Question Internships

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good Internships for a College student majoring in Flight as a Pilot. I am Interested in anything Corporate, Fractional, Or the like. Thanks for the help!

Raytheon Aircraft Company in Wichita Kansas... they have already hired for this year, but will probably be interviewing again in October 2007.

I was there from Jan-July 2006 and flew almost 400 hrs in everything from the Garmin Bonanza to the Hawker 850XP... In my opinion it is the best internship out there.

A guy with the username "Kansas" here on the forum was there at the same time I was... I am more than happy to answer any questions, as he probably is also.

That sounds excellent, What sort of responsibilities were at hand? Is it paid?(not that i'd be worried about that if flying is involved) Any other details would be a great help. But the internship sounds great. I wouldnt be in the market for another year or so, but i will definetly look into it.

ERAU used to have one with P&G..and i think they still do...one guy i know is working their now and he did the internship in college

The internship was 6 months and I was paid $11/hour plus overtime which was anything over 40 hours a week... and I think I received double time on Sundays. I made more as an intern than I do here at AWAC this year (I had a lot of overtime at RAC), plus the cost of living was so cheap that life was pretty good. I loved it out there and hope to work there again someday.

I saw on my school's website the information about this internship and had a few questions. Was there any possibilities of staying with raytheon once your internship was completed? Does the company help set-up housing for the interns? How much time did you have when you applied? Also do you know if they have different pay scales depending on if you are a Jr/Sr/Grad?

Cocoa-Cola had a flight dept. internship, but it's pretty limited as with almost all of them. I never had one, but it would've been a nice summer job for any of them.

General Mills has an internship that they give out every year. It's really competitive, though.

Wal-Mart has a flight department internship. I believe it is through UND. It is paid and housing is provided.

UND also has a 1 year internship with Basin Electric Power Coop in Bismarck, ND. It's unpaid, but IIRC interns are type rated in the Citation Encore and get about 250 hrs of flying in over the year.
