Default Aviation Charter Minneapolis

Saw they had a posting in the Minneapolis area for a pilot job. Anyone know anything about them? I thought about applying. Thank you.

Last I heard. 24/7 on call except the 13 days off a quarter. You only get paid the daily rate when you fly. So if they don't book flights you don't get paid... Benifits were not good. No 401k. Not a highly recommended place.

Aren't they the company that killed Senator Wellstone and 6 others in 2002? And another crash that killed 2 at Colorado Springs in 1997.
How a company with that kind of history can still be operating escapes me.
I know a few people that used to work there some years ago, and from what I've heard, you fly or you don't get paid.

Just like I said... Basically you are on call 24/7 but only get paid when you fly. It is wrong on many levels.

Shirley is a slave driver! They do a lot of organ harvest trips which 75% take place on back side of clock

What sort of flight time are they looking for? I live about 30mn away from KFCM, may not be the worst interim gig for the time being!

I’ve been at Aviation Charter for the last couple of years, and a lot has changed. Schedule is 8/4 plus 3 holidays off per year plus 5-15 days off. Captain pay is $90k/$95k/100k for first/second/third year pay. Premium pay for flying the BeechJet. They currently have 6 KingAirs and 4 BeechJets. Medical insurance and matching 401k. I find the management to be great. Fly on your day off or more than 170 trips in a 12 month period and you’ll get extra pay. 1.5 pay if you fly at night or on your day off. The equipment is older but well maintained as they have own maintenance department. 65% of my flying is at night with mostly 2 hour call out time. If you want to live in the Minneapolis area and fly single day trips, this may be a great place.
