Mark my words. Trump has invested heavily in HCQ manufacturers. And you all are suckers for buying up a drug that doesn't work against COVID-19.

It's laughable that people are tripping over themselves to grab a drug that has very shaky evidence of its efficacy. Meanwhile robbing the stockpiles to those who actually need it.

Are those hoping for it’s lack of efficacy really in big Pharm pocket looking for a more profitable treatment? Are they heavily invested in the “resist” movement that’s they’d rather hydroxychloroquine fail than let the President get a perceived win? |

India just stopped all exports of hydroxychloroquine.
We need a much more insourced medical infrastructure, among many things like manufacturing and rare earth mining etc. And we have to protect our energy sectors at all costs long term. Likewise, I'm sure India will understand why we can't use wage lowering visas and will need to severely tax international remittences. Its not personal, its just business. |

I am not making one word of that up. You'll forgive all of us if we don't regard "mark my words" as some sort of fast track to legitimacy. |

It's pretty telling that they don't seem to care the entire preventative medical industry is shutdown, and this drug's supply is what they are concerned about.
Kinda like the hospitals in our area that are furloughing staff, both medical and admin, because they have - get this - no patients. WTF? Kinda like our farmers here, they have no demand for their fruits and veggies. This time of year is when our produce grown here kicks in to the markets. No demand. So it's left to rot. WTF? (some is given away to food banks, but limited). Kinda like the dairy industry here as well, low demand, milk is being dumped. WTF? I could go on with my own little corner of the world. This is what shutting down the economy does. Its gonna hurt a bunch of people. It's gonna directly affect people way more than the bug. |

Kinda like the people they arrest for breaking the social distancing "rule" in NYC. They then throw them in a cell with 30+ other people. WTF?

Once again, phins knows better than every epidemiologist in America because his wife works in a hospital. It means he's an expert in farming now too. Lol. This guy.
