Yeah, you guys can pretty much count out Florida and Disney World opening up any time soon to help your numbers.

The media will only be able to scare the public for so long with the massive increase in cases (due almost entirely to testing).
Eventually, even Joe Public will wake up to the fact that a massive increase in testing, leads to a large increase in detection and cases.
It’s possible that even Joe Public Will realize that without a corresponding leap in deaths all those new cases mean the virus gets less deadly by the day.
It means using math yes but eventually the media won’t be able to scare the public about how deadly the virus is.

The testing argument has already been debunked. Testing in Florida began in May but was not spiking until the last 2 weeks. If it was due to testing it would have spike before. The virus is growing, it’s not the testing. Also that’s a pretty ominous graph you have there....

What I heard about the testing (NPR) was that yes the amount of testing is increasing but so is the rate of positive results. E.g.:
10 tests with 5 positive then
100 tests with 60 positive now
and that also there isn’t t necessarily increased testing in the all the areas that are having an increase in cases

Anyhow...almost at 600k...next Monday/Thurs/Fri should be above 600k...
Virus not nearly as lethal as the "experts" thought or predicted in Mar/Apr..
Deaths in FL, TX and other places supposedly "spiking" have not dramatically increased. Using worldometer (not the best source, but easiest to bring up on iPhone and follows the same trends as CDC #'s)shows a death rate vs confirmed cases for FL just over 3%, and for TX at 2%... those are for the confirmed cases which are typically the most severe. That isn't even for the asymptomatic cases which are estimated much much higher.
Public isn't going to fall for the BS. Those "experts" who may be correct, will be ignored because of the politics and childish behavior of those on both sides trying to win support.
Shelter the >80 crowd... The rest of us barely even feel a symptom. Hell a common cold is more annoying than the majority of Covid 19 symptoms.
Business is going to continue to open. US Economy and it's citizens won't put up with another "shutdown", for a .02- .04% mortality rate.
If the gov't and States really thought we were all doomed they would be shutting everything down already. As is they know as well as we do that it's not a death sentence and an overwhelmingly large majority of us will be just fine.. Like 99.96% of us will make it...I'd take those odds.
