there is no vaccine

all we have is development of one. Pfizer's is delayed.

What does your argument of semantics have to do with his point in and of itself? You might as well argue that the ocean is aqua, not blue. It’s not a delay due to pauses in the program from participants dropping dead left and right. It’s due to a lack of participants contracting covid. I would argue that it’s more good than bad. Bad because it’s delayed, but good that covid cases in the group aren’t happening quickly. That means that the vaccine candidate (I threw the word “candidate” in there just for you) actually works, therefore it will take longer to accrue the number of cases necessary within the control group half. Or, as i mentioned in another post, Covid is not really hiding behind every door waiting to pounce on its next victim.

incorrect. The efficacy of a treatment is determined by the DIFFERENCE in the outcomes between the two groups. Sparse data tells you nothing.
