Mask mandate ending soon?
Hopefully this means that things will soon start to ease up in the air transport sector as well.

Nah. This is going to be around a long, long time.
SLC just instituted a 30 day mask requirement for public spaces. Unless you're eating, of course.
Even Uncle Bernie has come out and noted that if it's not an N95, it's not doing anything. Yet, the "anything on your face" mandates persist.

MSP just went back to masks as well as vax proof or negative test for dining/drinking venues.

I think the political argument holds true to some degree, but look at the news lately.....The Dems need something to claim as a win, they can't pass (thankfully) election changes, the fillibuster stays, the BBB bill is toast, it took them forever to get through infrastructure, which was even voted against by the far left...It's midterm season and even CNN is saying how Biden et al are screwed. While masking may not "end" in March, as Omicron proves its way less deadly, and we will have to live with this like the flu (words out of Fauci's mouth this week)....They need to end this ASAP, and it's also going to be their ONLY talking point of "proving" to the center and right of "See! we told you this wasn't about control, it was about science, we are safe again!!!".
Mongo
PS - In NO way am I hoping they survive the midterms, they deserve every losing seat they can get for how they've handled this year and last year...

The CDC is now admitting cloth masks don’t do anything and that people should upgrade to N95 or KN95. The CDC and Dr. Fauci both also admit omicron is less severe than all the variants we’ve gotten so far.
So we were supposed to wear the inferior masks for the deadlier variants and now we’re supposed to wear the better masks for the weaker variant. What?
The CDC couldn’t drain the water out of a boot if the instructions were on the heel.
