I don’t think anyone is calling for Lockdowns are they? At least not in the US?

Some of you guys make this way harder than it needs to be. Wash your hands, and wear a mask if you’re in tight quarters with the general public. The rest of the world seems able to make that work.

If viral suppression is the goal the only countries to make it work have been New Zeland and Iceland.

The rest of the world isn’t a relatively healthy, well behaved island.

Countries in Europe have seen COVID cases rise rapidly in the last month (except for Sweden).

As posted in another forum, a recent scientific study shows lockdowns and closing of some businesses are causing more death than if functional immunity was allowed to progress unabated.

So no, the rest of the world hasn’t been able to make it work. That is incorrect. And yes, part of New York City is again going into lockdown as I write this.

Madrid is in lockdown. Italy is almost there. The U.K. is debating it.

What is the goal? Hospitals aren’t near capacity, death rates are now very low. Masks don’t stop COVID, neither will vaccines. So what is the goal? Are we to destroy humanity because the elderly obese must avoid a death by natural causes? Is that the goal?

Masks, testing, and contract tracing do stop it. I live in Hong Kong, a dense city of almost 9 million people and we’ve not been locked down at all. They have limited the amount of people that can go sit at a restaurant a couple times, and did shut down schools for awhile. But otherwise, life here has been quite normal for us.

Same thing for many countries in Asia. I’m very much against lockdowns. They are still extreme, and mentally very tough to handle obviously. I’ll take wearing a mask for a bit anytime over that.

Culling the herd.

It is amazing that someone would actually put in a post on here that masks and vaccines do not help control and also help stop a virus from spreading. Just wow!

The largest and most “scientific” study of face masks completed this summer in Denmark with over 6,000 subjects. The authors and researchers refuse to release the results. Why do you think that is the case?

Also, the lack of obesity in East Asia and previous immunity with other corona viruses don’t make those comparisons relevant. Do they?

Testing, contract tracing and masks have not worked in Germany. Their cases have more than doubled in the last 30 days.

By the way, Sweden was one of the few countries in the western world yesterday with no COVID deaths.

Why do you feel it is proper to disrupt billions of lives and cause trillions upon trillions of economic damage for a virus with a iFR of 0.3% and the biggest risk factor is voluntary obesity?
