My entire family and social group has been at complete normal behavior since about April 1 of 2020, some have gotten the bug, most haven’t, not a one more severe than a sniffle.
When I see someone post something along the lines of ‘can’t wait to see my friends again’ it just makes me weary.
Complete idiocy.

Not even a joke, saw an old co-worker post his vaccine card and say, “can’t describe how amazing it feels to know I’m one step closer to hugging my family and friends again!”

It would have made me laugh, except people like him are all over CA and also in official positions, keeping us in this nightmare

“Eradicating the virus might not be possible…”

Okay a “trusted” news agency proves again they are about as naive and just plain dumb as is possible.

I’m neither a doctor or research scientist and knew from the beginning, posted it over and over again, viruses can’t be “eradicated” or defeated like some war enemy. The only way is total isolation, mutation, adaptive immunity and or vaccination to stop people from getting or suffering the effects of any virus.

And now Biden continues the theatrics of insanity and fear mongering while achieving his political goals.

BTW, have the ruling political party taken down the fences and razor wire yet in our Nation’s Capital? Just a random thought.

Political theater. When they see they can get no more mileage, then they will come down.

If a crowd of BLM protesters had invaded the Capitol in a violent, treasonous act, your people would be screaming for martial law. But because the rebels sported Confederate flags and MAGA caps, it was somehow OK. Please. The hypocrisy.

I don't think they are hypocritical at all.

Have you seen the destruction of property, lives, physical abuse and the open call for revolution across the Nation perpetrated by the BLM?

If you define treason by the mostly peaceful invasion of the Capital building with ZERO deaths I would say you are the actor (what a hypocrite is BTW) and have a very narrow definition of justice and law within the USA.

It's time to pay attention, because the world is changing very rapidly.

I have to point out, I have never been a supporter of what the Rebel flag represents. Enslaving human being for any purpose is just plain wrong.

© Getty ImagesThe American public's enthusiasm for taking a coronavirus vaccine has reached a plateau, according to a new nationwide poll, a sign of the tough road ahead facing the Biden administration's vaccination efforts.

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation's Vaccine Monitor, the share of adults who have not yet gotten vaccinated but say they intend to do so as soon as they can has fallen to 9 percent.

At the same time, about 15 percent of respondents fell into the “wait and see” group, which remained about the same in April compared to March. But among Republicans, over half now say they’ve gotten at least one dose or will do so as soon as they can.
That's a significant increase from the 46 percent of Republicans who expressed enthusiasm about the vaccines in March. At the same time, the share of Republicans who will “definitely not” get vaccinated decreased from 29 percent in March to 20 percent in April.

The survey also showed limited eagerness for parents to get their children vaccinated, a troubling trend that's coming just as the Food and Drug Administration is poised to grant authorization for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to be used in adolescents aged 12 to 15.

Among parents who have at least one child between the ages of 12-15, 30 percent said they’ll get their child vaccinated right away, 26 percent wanted to wait to see how it’s working, 18 percent said they will vaccinate only if their child’s school requires it, and 23 percent said they will definitely not get their child vaccinated.

The responses largely align with the parents' own enthusiasm about getting the shot.

All vaccines have a risk and it seems these possibly have a slightly greater risk of permanent harm than others. As a parent would you want to be the one who injects your child and then sees them suffer potential long term injury or possibly death? It's a big decision which has to be balanced against the risk of not vaccinating them against COVID.

I'm very suspicious about why there is a huge push in the USA to have children vaccinated. The health risk of COVID appears to be near zero to children and those they come in contact with. The decision of parents to wait and see is a valid one.

Now for adults 40 and up I would personally recommend getting vaccinated. The risks of not, especially for males in the 55-65 year old range is high and the virus can have very serious health effects.

Again, I believe in choice and forcing people to be vaccinated isn't the way we do things in the USA.

To simplify things, if anyone is worried about getting or spreading COVID get vaccinated. BTW I did and don't believe there is any virtuous reason behind it. Just measured the risks and did it.

The disturbing thing is many people don’t see this for what it actually was – one of multiple serious attempts to overturn the results. When vote totals no longer matter…that’s basically the end of this whole thing.
