So far the family has avoided it. I'm quarantined in the master bedroom. When they bring food/drink we both wear KN95s and I stand on the far side of the room.

Thanks man

How many mg's of Zinc are you taking? I'm not sick, but i tried taking 50mg (1 capsule) of it as a trial two separate times, and wow did it give me a stomach ache and nausea both times. Never again. I do take a multi that already has 10 mg of zinc. Maybe it was too much for my body.

Max RDA is 30mg, I wouldn't do more than that on a regular basis. Also... you need to take it with food (not just drink) in your stomach, it will be fine that way. Empty stomach, yeah it will make you upset.

I made the mistake of taking too much zinc before a trip, and let’s just say the toilet and I became very close... definitely recommend taking a lower dose of it. I didn’t know taking too much would cause the nausea it did. Since I’ve taken a lower dose, it’s all been A-OK.

Yeah. Being a supplement guy, I underestimated the power of that much zinc.

Yeah that Zinc really makes me bloated and gassy too. I just do one tablet about 30 minutes after each meal. I think they're 11mg each. Talked to my doctor today. She said that was fine, but to up the vitamin D to 5000 IIU per day.

This guide written by doctors that actually give medicine to their patients says taking zinc without hydroxycholorquine doesn't do anything because it doesn't get into your cells, especially cells that the virus attacks:

https://aapsonline.org/CovidPatientTreatmentGuide.pdf

The US policy of making people stay at home until almost dead and then going to a hospital is criminal. Where are the clinical trials of treating patients with drugs before they are almost dead? If treating patients when they first get sick is unproven science then why did some of the best doctors in the world treat Trump right away when he got sick?

Don’t disregard the natural Vitamin D. The weather should clear up in the next few days. Take a book, a laptop or your phone and hang out in your back yard and soak up some sun.

I was very surprised at the power of zinc. Like I was telling Rick, I wrongly assumed it was like any other supplement like Vitamin C, Echinicea, or elderberry! Lesson learned.

I hadn't heard that about week two. Scary.

I was listening to a doctor on a podcast. He was saying that 30 mg of Zinc needs to be taken with 500 mg quercetin Twice a day to be effective for preventing covid. He had a dosage for active cases but that one escapes me. It brings the zinc into the cells and blocks the disease from replicating. Otherwise it sits outside the cell. I just ordered some quercetin on amazon. Other than that been hitting the vitamin D3 capsules and tons of vitamin C.
