Pretty much this. Not to mention the billions in Asia where masks have been a societal norm for decades.

Masks are super annoying, no disagreement, but then I feel the same about red lights.

Doctors, Nurses, farmers, etc. aren’t wearing them for 8-10 straight hours.

Yes masks have been the norm in Asia for decades, worn by SICK people, not healthy ones. Just what we need here.

I haven’t been to Asia in 10 years. It was my experience that you are correct. However 10 plus years ago it was quite common to see some people wearing masks. In speaking with locals they told me that exact sentiment they wear masks when they are sick or the flu is in high season. They were only protecting others from themselves far more noble then our reasoning. In this country the approach is very different and people believe that the mask actually protects them from other people.. This is why the sheep in this country will be wearing masks for a long time after this is over, it will be easy to see and heard the sheep at that point but that’s the only upside I see coming out of this..
