Why hasn't Delta required the vaccine for every employee yet?

Im sure they are waiting for Nov1, when the provisions of the LOA expires. Then they won’t have to pay protect people playing games.

AA's Vaccine Incentive LOA expires Nov 1 as well and yet they are mandating it, I don't think that is the reason.

But can they drop a trip and then pick up Overtime after the 48hrs??? Also remember AA is fully unionized, there’s no incentive there to play these games.

Flew with a CA that dropped 20 days total within the two vaccines and got multiple Gs on the days prior to the vaccine and after the 48hrs grounded.

The feeling I get is that EB is chomping at the bit to do exactly this, and management is waiting for the LOA to expire. Disclaimer--I haven't spoken to him directly about this.

Well I don’t know the answer but DAL is one of the least unionized airlines so maybe non union folks are more likely to say screw it - I can get money for not working and jobs are plentiful. A lot easier to leave a non union hourly job then a union career.

I could agree with this if, and it’s a big if, prior COVID was given credit for natural immunity which appears to be better than vaccines. It’s a shame that this whole issue has become totally partisan, but get used to it. I imagine most future societal issues will be filtered through a “tribal lens” and everything will be viewed as partisan.

Well, Trip is on record as saying he doesn't care if someone has natural immunities due to prior infection and this isn't "force". I only hope he never attains his coveted Chief Pilot status, because he certainly doesn't have a "Big Picture"....but he does know best...just ask him...he will tell you.
