Did just that. Email to Bolt and no problem. FYI the response I got was that they wouldn't cover her airfare but she was welcome at the dinner. Probably trying to avoid people bringing their "flavor of the week".

... because how could we trust a new hire to judge the appropriateness of his or her dinner guest?! Maybe they should be asking if a new hire has ever discussed divorce with their spouse. Wouldn't want them bringing someone who may no longer be in their life six months down the road.

Haha my thought as well. Or what's to stop a guy bring his latest ATL Tindr conquest or Virginia Ave special? In my case, the girlfriend is a long-term situation (could be married, choose not to be). Definitely felt a little burn when couples who had been together less time than we had were introduced. Whatever, ain't gonna let some dinner cramp my style.
