The 717 will continue to shoulder the shrinking regional routes in and out of hubs. Cue Bowie singing "Changes".

Any work on if the 717 leases will be renewed in 2023 when their 10 years are up?

No clue about the leases, but the planning is for very long term use. I would expect DAL to pick up a few more if the price is right in the next year or two.

With the dynamics on the industry and the shifts in profitability among different segments management probably will wait until the last day of their option period to make that call. That probably means 2022 before you will hear anything.

Hawaiian is getting rid of theirs soon, so I expect DAL to pick them up.
...or to just buy the whole airline.

HAL has B717s, B767s (shrinking fleet), A330s, A321s (deliveries soon), A350s (deliveries soon).

DAL has purple FA and gate agent uniforms.

Should be a natural fit.

Don't think we want anything to do with Hawaiians with the number of cycles on them.

Not to mention most of their 767's are the old small motered 767's they picked up from us when we parked them.

If by "most" you meant one, then yes that would be an accurate statement.

What would cause the most hurt.....

717's with a lot of cycles, or

1/2 an airline of wide body pilots merged into DAL's list?
