But the last time they over reacted big time by indulging in the fantasy that anything that requires a passport is self printing money while domestic should be surrendered to any endless growth mode LCC that wants to pick off routes off our menu on their terms. SW, JB, AT, NK and others gorged off of legacy airlines almost completely by poaching their domestic. IMO DL would be wise to start reclaiming that on its terms now while the getting is good. The 50% BOS buildup is by far the biggest single market strategic move in a while and hopefully a sign of things to come.

That's what we've been hearing all around, as well as the 321's (particularly the 50 additional ones etc). But for a company who loves to sharpshoot every route they can, there's a pretty big seat difference between an 88 and a 739/321. This leaves us with a relatively small number of 90's (still 160 seats) and the existing number of old and aging 320's that are already spoken for on existing routes. Other than that, we'll have nothing between the 120 seat and 180+ seat ranges (vaporware C-300 notwithstanding).

Is that really going to work?

CS300 Vaporware? Really?

SWISS is using the CS100 successfully and will now make 2/3s of their CSeries fleet CS300s (20 out of 30 copies).

AirBaltic is using the CS300 successfully and has 20 copies on order:

This is hardly vaporware..........

How do you get a F/A in the cockpit of a 737? --- Put a Snicker's Bar on the aisle stand and grease her hips....:D

My prediction: the CS100/300 fleet will become a game changer for Delta from an economics and pax comfort perspective. And pilots will love it in comparison to any other narrowbody. The A320/21 FBW and latter 1980s cockpit technology will seem archaic in comparison.

Would love to see a stubby twin-aisle 797 from Boeing but they should have been developing it for the last 3-5 years. The A321 NEO LR will eat their lunch. 4,000 mile range and easy 757 replacement for thinner transatlantic flights. The 737 MAX-10 is a waste of resources at Boeing IMO - start working on the new twin-aisle 757/767-200 replacement!!!!!

Boeing has a lot on their plate with the 777-X. As much as I would love to see a 797 (similar to the venerable 767-200 which I always enjoyed), I agree it would be a challenge at this point. Too many balls in the air....
