Yet for some reason, in less than three months over 6000 different pilots went there, 3800 followed up and created logins, and generated 53,000 looks at the main page. In 3 months. Whether or not it survives as a pay site remains to be seen. But it would be hard to argue its previous popularity was solely because it was free.

Pilots mulling what could be a tens of thousands of dollars a year decision balking at about $20 for a deep look at where they are and where it could lead them. Sure, you can dig out a 300 page seniority list or scratch through old AE's. You can also print bid packages and pick with a highlighter and pencils. Or you could avail yourself of several sources, the sum total cost of which wouldn't buy a good dinner.

But that's just the author's opinion. ;)

A subscription will be the death of widget seniority. I'm sure there are many people that write a basic computer program to do the exact same thing.

I think I probably accounted for 20,000 of those hits. Great thing to fool around with when bored in line at the store or whatever but that's because it's free. Or was... not planning on paying for it

The author stated that he started the website to track SLI affects. I would be interested in seeing that, "where I would be if......". For curiousities sake. Probably give some folks heartburn though, may prove some points

The new Pilot Tools link on the DALPA site has system wide seat information based on the most recent Projected Category List. It also has a retirement seniority calculator. I'm not sure why anyone would pay a third party for the same info.

Thanks for the info!

I just received an email from ALPA with a link to a seniority tracker. Not sure how that compares to this new pay to play one; however, it shows exactly what Curly's old freebie tracker used to display.

I don't fault the guy for trying to make a buck off his hobby. But personally....I could see paying something for using it, but not that much.

The same thing could be said about iCrew Max...
