How will we know where to base it if they don't even know where they'll make it?

Sounds like a 3-level (if you’re ex-AF) Marketing answer.

Tell me you thought BBD and Airbus were really going to build the things in Alabama before Boeing filed a lawsuit... I will bet you lunch in Mirabel (so you can watch the planes get built).. that that is where production is.. James Bond?.. the closest you get to that is the oil slick dripping off your tail when you are parked at the gate.

I’d bet they set up an FAL in Mobile for CS300s. Airbus brings supply chain cost efficiencies (read: cheaper than betting on BBD future) and cheaper labor costs. There can’t be a more expensive labor area than Quebec. For BBD, there was no benefits to a US production line and lots of political downside. They looked at several US locations, but even some test was done at YMX rather than ICT. The YMX cafeteria isn’t worth it.

The decision has been made to postpone all decisions until a decision can be made.

Sometimes cheap labor is more expensive than expensive labor.

True, Bloggs, but apparently neither Boeing (CHS), Airbus (MOB), Mercedes (AL), nor BMW (SC) have found that to be the case.

ummmm of course they weren't going to build them in Alabama. duh. And now they don't have to. That was kind of the point.
