pretty much, doing the same thing for the SLC-JFK (3am arrival) and SLC-ATL (1:50am arrival). They are added segments on those routes.

We do it on the 321 with 12:40amish arrivals in Atlanta. I guess it’s their new thing and if it works I guess they can upgrade to 320 or even 321...

Wow a pre-redeye? Didn't see that coming. Wonder if its actual market demand or just a revenue positioning flight?

Were all the other flights the same or did it kick a bigger plane off to right size?

From what I could tell it's an additional flight in addition to the regular schedule/equipment types

Any idea what the CASM is compared to an ER? (The real ER in the fleet, the 737-900-ER, with scimitars) or a 321?

I don’t know the exact CASM but if you believe the 3500lbs an hour figure it burns 31.25lbs an hour per seat. If you use 6000 average on the -900(optimistic), that gives you 33.3 pounds per hour per seat. 31.25/33.3=.938 so the 220 has about a 6% advantage there. That number changes dramatically if the 3500lbs is understated.

I still think the real reason that this jet is being funneled to ATL at these times is to create a path to tech ops so it can be maintained there without ferry flights.

That’s about the same fuel burn as a CRJ900 or E175. That would be amazing.

321 at M.79 in cruise at FL360 was 31.25 with 192 pax looking at my last ATL-LAX.

The Neo cuts that by 20% or 25/ pax taking on GTF engines.
