I don’t disagree with you - I’m just stating facts. The Instructors and LCA’s are working as though we are getting the airplanes in August, the project “deadlines” haven’t changed. Program leadership admits it doesn’t look good, but they’re sticking to “we won’t know until February.”

Just relaying facts here.

MSP lost the 330 and DC9. It gained the M88 and recently the 73N. The 7ER catagory is also shrinking. The overall numbers may be similar but the movement is slooooooooow and higher paying positions are leaving and have left.

Take it for what it’s worth but a guy that has been pretty reliable says they are looking to increase the MSP a320 flying. That would make sense in that they are getting 100 more A321 aircraft as well as the remainder of the 112. Only 29 of those have been delivered.

With 88’s in MSP going away along with ER’s eventually some equipment will need to be put into msp.

MSP will likely get both a 330 base and 717 base in the next 4 years.

I don't disagree with the total wide body positions, but basing it on a percentage of pilots at the top pay rate doesn't make a good case.

We could start parking NBs tomorrow and our percentage would go up. We could continue to take flying away from the regionals and the percentage making top rate would go down. UAL could shrink their NB fleet increasing their percentage. None one of those scenarios would really explain what we are doing in the widebody arena.

I respectfully wager a 1L of Makers that says the MSP will NOT be an A330 pilot base in 4 years.

My bet is the end result is it's a 717, 737, 321 base. 7ER over there seems to be going away too. No major backfilling for years.

Hoping you're right but very doubtful. If that happens, the base size will stay about the same and the M88 and the 7ER will continue to take hits.
