A friend who's father was an airline pilot, didn't know soap and shampoo came in anything larger than hotel sizes until he left for college.

Back on topic. Purple is a nice blend for those who don't identify as either Blue or Red. It allows an option that is a mix of what used to be just a binary choice (of uniform color).

You know, they have these new-fangled places called “tailor shops” where they can make incredible changes called “alterations” so that your uniform isn’t baggy anymore. What a time to be alive.

Too late! The “contemporary cut” is already out of date, and fashionistas are now touting the “retro” style.....for example, a 19th century naval officer’s uniform. ;)

After seeing the new uniforms in person, I like them.

Some F/As will look better in the new uniform, and some will look better out of the new uniform...;)

I started the thread after seeing the roll out over a year ago. In that time, in the hundreds of flights I've been on, I haven't met a single flight attendant that liked them. It just seemed, based on my very informal statistical sample, that there was no way for flight attendants to turn this off, or provide input and thoughts on the color especially. There may be those that like it, but i haven't met any. We'll see.

Every time I see this thread, I think of this.

One of my wife's friends is a Delta FA.

My wife LOVES Purple. We have Purple couches in the living room.

Her friend "Great. Now I match your $&#*ing couch" after she saw the new uniform.

The uniform looks "ok". Some like it, but most have a below average opinion of it.

Delta picked some guy that makes dresses for runway models to design a uniform for flight attendants of all shapes and sizes that have to wear it for 12-14 hours per day including lots of movement, crew rest, walking etc...

Paying Zac Posen hundreds of thousands of dollars (some rumors are a little over a million but...) was a complete waste of money.

Bet as we all know, Delta loves to was money on the red carpet and pinch every penny out of you elsewhere.
