I agree with you. Successful business is not just flying and getting the customer there safely for a reasonable price. It is giving them a ‘feel good’ about the service, as well.

Every blurb the company puts out regarding net promoter scores and customer engagement disagrees with you.

One blurb I hope the company puts out soon is reduced PAs on flights with IFE. During deadheads I've noticed pax are visibly annoyed by long cockpit PAs after turning the seat beat sign off reaching cruise altitude. Folks are trying to enjoy their movie. IMO, FOM quiet hours policy should be 24/7 on all IFE aircraft.

Sounds like somebody needs a few days off. If you periodically unplug from the job, you'll find yourself less annoyed by the small stuff when you return.

Sometimes a "mental break" is what the doctor would order you to call in sick for.

The problem is the same as with quiet hours, it has long been in the fom and long been ignored. Nothing better than on the 545am flying getting a 605am full brief on the route of flight and a promise to tell us more before we begin our descent which is in 30 minutes.

It could be reiterated in QCQ, CQ and a mandatory bulletin and maybe radio ads during Rush and guys will still brief the 3 minute brief like its 1985.

I just dont know how you tell folks there is a tv screen in the back and they dont want to hear all that. Ridicule might be the best method.

Idk.

The worst part is if you let go of the PTT (FAs are really bad about this). Every time you let go and push again the movie, tv show, etc jumps and skips before pausing again.

One solid push on the switch or button and the PA should be done in 30 seconds or less.

Neither of which have anything to do with PAs. What does the NPS say about interrupting movies to give them info that is readily available on the IFE, FlyDelta app or Google search? I'm all for supporting the brand and driving the revenue premium. Show us the NPS data regarding PAs. I suspect most of positive NPS data regarding PAs has to do with exceptions vs normal ops.

Twenty-First Century problems, when I was working it was a soup can and a string. The dollies would steal the can for cat treats.:D

Yes but the dollies had to be single, retire at 29, 36-18-33 and 5'9"and think pilots were magnificent.
