Your “xzy” based crew...

Ok, after numerous times commuting, deadheading, or non-revving, why on earth do crews make PA’s about where they’re based? Who the heck cares? I know, nobody! Just more crap that gets spewed over the PA... now back to my movie. :)

Thanks for letting us know how you feel.

I’m guessing you don’t care. Am I right?

That drives me crazy too. In fact all self-aggrandizement PA’s bother me. Shut - up. Keep it short and simple.

What's wrong with a little "base-pride?!" Connect with your fellow passengers. Say I am MSP based and flying to SNA. Proud to say your "Minneapolis based crew," though, truth be told I have never once done so.

I used to become irritated about many things, but then I developed the technique of selective non-perception. :D

I don't say it, but this is industry wide and common. At the least this should be in a general forum. Realistically though, There's a difference between crew members not caring and passengers. The passengers tend to enjoy a lot of things we might find mundane or unnecessary.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that 99% of pax would enjoy a little peace and quiet in between all of the FA announcements pushing the latest skymiles credit card...

I make up bases all the time in PAs. Never been questioned. El Segundo works.
