Not sure about app review, but Adam Hughes was amazing for interview prep.

What exactly does an app review involve? Do you give them your airline apps username and they check grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc? I'm not entirely sure what cleanup would be needed for your 10yr resident history, flight time, education.... Am I missing something?

Do you just print the final application and email it, then they check for inconsistency?

I wasn't impressed with emerald coast HR prep. The videos are good but the one on one was to easy going and they played it easy with critiques.

I understand the interview prep, what does application prep do? Make sure you don't have gaps in your address, education, and aircraft times? Check spelling and grammar? Or is it more, "you should really try to get these boxes checked so the system pulls your app sooner"? Do you print off the application on airline apps and mail it for someone to look at?

I recommend getting as many eyes on your application as possible. Everyone has an opinion on what the 'must haves' and 'must do's, but it's ultimately your app. The more input and critique, the better it'll be. Before spending dime-one on ANY services, he/she ought to have a pretty solid application.

Go to checkedandset.net and look at their application review service. I did it a few years ago and think it helped out immensely. You send them the pdf of your airlineapps/pilotcredentials applications beforehand and then you have an online skype style meeting where they go over your app with you. It's very good.

$300 for another pilot to spell check your printed application? Does anyone honestly think their application is not being pulled because a typo or missplaced period? Could a guy just find a few friends to give it a once over? Maybe a gal at the library, or your local college career center?....this smells just like the pay for SIC seat time flying freight a few years back.

Cover letter and resume, yeah I could see the value in that.
