You need to look at how reserve green slips work. He did nothing to help the company. Regular Green Slips you would have a point. In this case not so much

Actually I don’t think reserves help the company much at all. They get paid more and are available less.

Absolutely. With a regular GS you have permanently solved scheduling's problem. With a reserve GS you've solved scheduling's problem today, but with the PB day feature, you've created another for them later, since your former on call days are now PB days and you are not available for trip assignment.

That's why the Daily Trip Coverage needs a separate code for reserve GS. It truly functions differently than a regular GS.

You obviously have no understanding of green slips while on reserve. He worked the same amount for 2 x the pay and got x-mas off.
He didn’t help Deltas staffing problem.

I think he was referring to the fact that he gets his normal 1 x pay for his reserve guarentee, then another 1x pay for the greenies on his off/PB days....end result is he worked the same amout (or less) than his orignal amount of reserve on call days, but he made twice the money.

GS pays single, over guarantee. With PB days you never actually sit any reserve days. Therefore, work same number of days for twice (guarantee + GS) the pay.
