My understanding is that the trigger does not apply to reserve. If you drop a res day, the guarantee goes down for you. GS still pays above the guarantee, the guarantee for you would be lower in that case. So if res coverage were sufficient, you could drop to a guarantee of zero, then GS above that. Don’t know why that would be good but it is possible. Perhaps that would give you payback days straight in the bank, which would be good, but it risks getting paid nothing.

Welp. With a few minutes left in the New Year, it looks like I won't get to GS#10. I had 9 plus 1IA, so i guess it still counts...sort of.
I coulda had #10 but passed up the "opportunity" to be in a hotel tonight.
Happy New Years!

And they are only placeholders on your schedule until the trip is complete. If you get rerouted into a PB day that was awarded as a result of your current trip (ie, the day after the trip was supposed to be a RES day) and you're subsequently RR'd into that day, you are now flying your last day of a RES GS on a RES day not a PB day.

Well....that depends. A recent clarification seems to say that all of your PB days will be used. In the past, after the new year, you've been able to drop with just one day. Try picking up high time 1 days and dropping them to maximize pay.

the agreed upon and approved policy is that it will use all pb days you have to cover the footprint of the trip.
